The Power & Energy Initiative is under the leadership of Dr. Gregory Reed, associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. The initiative aims to educate the next generation of power and energy engineering professionals, contribute to advanced research initiatives in the electric power, nuclear, and mining engineering sectors, and collaborate closely with industry partners, government sponsors, and other key constituents.

The Power & Energy Initiative will become a world-class power and energy center of excellence for education and research activities with international scope and reputation.
